Finally an Update!
Its been awhile since I've had anythin to post about. But I had Amy Hayek out recently and she said some things about Sebastian that I don't know if I beleive. I am havin Joy Baker come out and give me a second opinion. We had a luau out at the barn this past weekend. There were all kinds of stuff for the horses to look at includin an inflattable pool! It took awhile for me to get Sebastian to trust it but patience won out and he did! He even played with the water a little bit! Too bad my cousin didn't get a pic of it! But here are some others from that day!

Post Show
Well we came back from the Sea Island Horse Show yesterday. I was too tired to write yesterday so I am doin it today. Thursday Erin and I were out at Rose Court at 0730 to body clip Sebastian. She and I both had to leave that day to go to work. She got off of work at 2100 hrs and I got off at 2330 hrs. Then it was back up and at the barn Friday at 0800 hours to bathe Sebastian and get everythin loaded into the trailer. Holly met us at about 1000 hrs and we started haulin. Erin rode with me and we followed Holly. We travelled from Rose Court to Whistle Stop to pick up Jessie and Pickles (Kelly brought Riley later). Once we got everythin and everyone loaded at Whistle Stop it was time to head to Mullet Hall where we unloaded everythin and everyone and got everythin set up. Erin did some schoolin on Sebastian with Holly havin to get on a few times cause he was bein a pain. Once Erin was done she and I decided to leave cause we had other things to do so we headed home. Saturday mornin I was up at 0400 hours. I left my house and went to pick up my friend Mary so she could spend the day with us. We headed to Mullet Hall and got there literally at 0545. Erin and her mom showed up at 0600. No one was even awake. It then occured to me that I was not the one ridin or competein so what the hell was I up so early for? So Mary and I layed down in my truck and went back to sleep until about 0730 then got up and started the day. Erin competed on Sebastian in the Pre-Green Hunter division and took a second and two thirds and the reserve champion for the division! Congrats Erin and Sebastian! After the show day was over we loaded everythin back up and headed on our way. Holly had to go meet her husband for church so Mary and I were on our own on findin Whistle Stop to take Jessie home. Once Jessie and everythin was unloaded there we headed for Rose Court to take Sebastian home. Once that was all said and done Mary and I had to turn around and take the trailer back to Whistle Stop just to turn around and head home. Lots of drivin, very early, very late, and VERY hot weekend. I'm kinda glad its over. Everyone did amazin though and they were all real troopers! People and horses!!!

Finally!!!!!! Thank You!!!!
Oh thank God! I think we are done with all the bad stuff! Erin is competin on Sebastian in either walk/trot or walk/trot/canter flat only this Saturday. I am takin him mainly to get used to all the chaos of the show grounds. But Erin (E3) put Sebastian in the arena with her horse Emily today and when she took his halter off he started rearin with his legs stretched out completly and cantered/galloped around for a little. LOL! So I guess he is feelin much better which takes a HUGE weight off my shoulders! I can finally breathe again. Breathin is such a nice feelin. LOL! ;)

Almost Done
Holly met me at the barn this mornin and helped me put a diaper wrap on Sebastian's hoof. It looks like the abcess busted we just did the wrap to be on the safe side. We found out though that Sebastian has thrush so I now have to take cate of that. Thats not difficult though. But Sebastian looked completely sound today so looks like we are finally back on track! Thanks everyone for helpin me out!

SSDD
Sebastian is progessively gettin more and more lame on his front left foot. The one that has the abcess. So I am assumin that means its gettin closer to comin to head. I don't know what was up with Sebastian earlier today either. I put him in his stall because the pastures were wet and the vet said to put him in his stall if that happens. When I put him in his stall he reared a couple of times for no reason. Non that I could see anyway. I guess he was just feelin good.
La Da Di Da
Last night I helped Erin (E3) finish feedin a little before I soaked Sebastian's foot. Erin (E3) had put Sebastian in the arena with her mare Emily after they were done eatin. That was before I got there. She said that they were cute together trottin beside each other and once they settled down they grazed together. Thats how they were when I showed up at the barn. Rob got a new lab puppy so while I was meetin Autumn I looked at Sebastian and saw that he was chasin a cat. The poor thing! The cat I mean. LOL! I hollared at Sebastian to leave the cat alone. Like he listened to me! LOL! It was cute though! The new puppy is adorable and Molly (the older dog that has been there forever) doesn't like the new puppy. She tries to stay as far away as possible. All the animals out there are too cute! Anway thats all I got for now. I was postin anyway mainly cause I'm bored. Later!

Good Day Today! Finally!
I went out to the barn today to take care of Sebastian. He was actually really cute and entertainin today! I get the feelin that things are finally gonna start lookin up for us. I just feel more optimistic! I soaked his foot this mornin and it looks like there is a little bit of a difference so hopefully it will come to head soon! Sebastian did really good just standin in the wash stall with his foot in a bucket of water and epsom salt with his lead rope thrown over his back. He stood there and gave me no problems while I groomed him like that for half an hour! I was really surprised actually! He normally gives me a hard time! I mixed some water and red gatorade together for him, just for the hell of it, and he was soooo funny. He would drink and he liked it so much he would put his muzzle in it so far some of it would go up his nose and he'd jerk his head up and stick his lips in the air! It was too cute! Here are some pics I took of Bastian and me to pass the last ten minutes we had to soak his foot.

Vet Visit
Dr. Miller came out today to do Sebastian's hock injections. He also checked his front left hoof and he thinks that it is an abcess. So I am supposed to soak Sebastian's foot twice a day for thirty minutes until the abcess comes to head and heals. Dr. Miller said that this should take three to five days so hopefully my horse will be back to normal by a weeks time but with my luck here lately I'm not gettin my hopes up. Poor Sebastian was so doped up on sedation that his head practically touched the ground, his bottom lip was droopin, and I had his foot soakin and he didn't even fuss about it. It was very entertainin actually. It made things alot easier havin him on sedatation though I have to admit! Here is a pic of my goofy boy from today!

Not Again!!!
Are you kiddin me?! Sebastian is now lame on his front left leg. It might be an abcess. You know I am really gettin sick and tired of everythin goin wrong. Can I not have a break? I mean what the bloody hell! I'm really beginnin to wonder if all this is worth it...unfortunatly I'm too stubborn to give up. My emotions and mentality can't take much more of this. Atleast the vet comes out tomorrow for Sebastian's hock injections anyways and he will look at his front leg then.
